Kaiser of Nebraska Disability Determinations. We are an agency
that does the medical determination when people in Nebraska file for
Social Security Disability. Here at the DDS it's been National
Disability Professionals Week. We've had a variety of activities going
on to thank our employees for the service they provide to the people of
Nebraska. These activities were put on by NEADE (This is the Nebraska
chapter of a professional organization NADE for individuals working in
the disability field ) Some highlights of the week included: Hat Day,
Green Day, Hawaiian Shirt Day, Breakfast on Monday, a Picnic on
Thursday, and a five team competition for the 2nd annual Food Bank
Drive.
In three
days of collecting we gathered approximately 1500 pounds of food. Each
team made a display of the items collected. Prizes were given to the
team that had the most weight in food, as well as most creative
display. The theme of the week was Wind Streams of Change Follow the
Current with NADE. We had 2 Wizard of Oz themed displays, a tornado
theme, a seasonal theme, and a bowling alley (picture did not turn
out). I am forwarding you pictures from the displays. You may use them
as you wish. It was great fun to make the displays, and we look
forward to doing it again next year.
