Senior Services Includes Meals, Health, discounts throughout Lincoln and Lancaster County, be sure to check out the Commodities program:

 

SERVICES

Transportation: Areas are bounded by 33rd Street to the West and Adams Street to the South. A suggested donation of no less than $.50 per one-way ride is requested; if this poses a financial hardship, call the Manager of the Northeast ActivAge Center for assistance. Call 441-7151 to reserve (or cancel) a ride, preferably the day before you need the van.

Commodities: Monthly commodities are distributed the 4th Monday of every month at 9:30am. Call 438-5238 to register and have your commodities available for pickup at the Northeast ActivAge Center. (The time for pick-up may vary, call the Center for current monthly information, 441-7151).

Health Station: The Public Health Station is open for blood pressure and blood sugar screenings on Thursday from 9:00-11:30am. This is a FREE service.

Discount Tickets & Tours: Several tours, one and two day, are offered to a variety of sites during the year. There are also reduced price tickets available to performances at the Lincoln Community Playhouse, Lied Center for Performing Arts, Lincoln Symphony Orchestra, Nebraska Repertory Theatre, Lincoln Continentals, Travelogue, and more. Call the Center at 441-7151 or the main office at 441-7158 for information on current tours and reduced price tickets available.

Quilting: The Northeast ActivAge Center ladies quilt every Thursday afternoon from 8:00 - 3:00pm. Call 441-7151 to arrange to have quilting done or to volunteer.

Computer Classes: We are excited to have the addition of GOAL to the center. GOAL will offer computer classes designed especially for the mature user. Call the Lincoln Downtown ActivAge Center at 441-7506 for information and to register for classes.
