2010 Rural Mobile Pantry Schedule

The Beatrice monthly mobile pantry is held on the Monday of the third week of every month except in January and February when it is moved up a week due to holiday closings. Distributions are regularly 11:30 am to 1:00 pm. Summer distributions may be earlier to beat the heat. Call the Beatrice Salvation Army (402-223-3341) for details. Located at Beatrice Salvation Army, 120 S 7th St.
2010 dates: Monday January 11, Monday February 8, Monday March 15, Monday April 19, Monday May 17, Monday June 14, Monday July 19, Monday August 16, Monday September 13, Monday October 18, Monday November 15, and Monday December 13, 2010.


Catholic Social Services holds monthly mobile pantries at eleven different communities. Except where noted, these pantries are held on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday of the fourth week of each month. Dates for 2010 are as follows:

Each site includes some USDA product, so participants must sign the standard income self-verification sheet, but no other documentation is required. Participants are encouraged to bring their own bags and carts if possible. Dates and locations may be subject to change, so check with your local agency prior to actual distribution date.

Fact: In 2009, the Food Bank of Lincoln was able to distribute 6,394,020 pounds of food at a cost of .24 per pound. So a $100 contribution can be used to provide 416 pounds of food for those in need.
