Housewarming Project
The Food Bank of Lincoln introduced the Housewarming Project in 2005 with three pilot agency partners. Clients from these shelters who were moving into their own households came to the Food Bank with their case worker to shop for 100 pounds of groceries. The Housewarming shoppers would also receive necessities such as paper goods, cleaning supplies and laundry items. In 2009, the Food Bank extended the Housewarming Project to include six additional agencies and today we’ve grown to 10 partners. The Project is the same, but the shopping location is new, ConnectioN Point, 1333 N. 33 St.
If you are interested in donating specifically to this Project, please inform the Food Bank of Lincoln when you bring in your Housewarming goods. Most-needed items for the Project are listed below.
